Forms (hyung) are the textbook of Taekwondo: choreographed patterns that record our techniques, build muscle memory, and train focus, balance and power.
“Why do you spend so much time on forms?” This is a question students (or their parents) ask from time to time… The form IS the textbook.

Color-belt forms
Black belt forms
Naihanji Cho Dan, Naihanji E Dan and Naihanji Sam Dan are taught to black belts by their instructors.
How to use these videos
- Watch the whole form first, then break it into short sections.
- Practice slowly and precisely before adding speed and power.
- Count your movements and know where each one starts and ends.
- Remember: you are what you practice — sloppy practice builds sloppy habits.
